Discover the magic of the season with this incredible 2023 Christmas tree made enterily of books, at St Pancras International. This is not a just traditional Christmas centerpiece but a really enchanting world created by authors.
This 12 metre “Christmas tree’ looks like a winding staircase and has 270 shelves adorned with over 3,800 hand-painted books, including timeless classics like Charles Dickens, C.S. Lewis, Beatrix Potter, Zadie Smith. I had the chance to try one of the eight cubby holes under this tree. The feeling is incredible and you can immerse yourself in this magic world of Christmas. Each booth is equipped with speakers that allow you to select a five-minute excerpt from an audiobook, provided by Penguin Books. I loved this experience, in the middle of this busy International station. Right here, in a place full of people ready to move from a country to another, you can sit in the booth and listen to big masterpieces of literature.
